What is Web Content Management?
Web Content Management (WCM) refers to a method or software product that enables ordinary employees without special programming skills to make changes to your Web site. Depending on your needs and budget, eSiteful offers three choices for Web Content Management, each including a "Quick Start" consulting package that is intended to get the product up and running quickly:
TeamSite is an enterprise-level WCM from Interwoven. It includes robust features such as highly-customizable workflow, content version control, true presentation templates and virtual "workareas" where tens, hundreds or even thousands of content editors and developers can work simultaneously. TeamSite allows you to manage multiple Web sites, content for intranet sites and just about any other type of unstructured content all within a single, easy-to-use interface. TeamSite can also help organizations comply with regulatory rules surrounding content retention.
Although the TeamSite server must be either Windows, Solaris or Linux, TeamSite publishes pages and content from the TeamSite server to one or more Web servers of any type. Thus, TeamSite is suitable for literally any type of Web site scripting language including JSP, ASP.NET, ASP, ColdFusion, PHP and the like.
eSiteful is an Interwoven-certified solutions partner.

Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) is a mid-tier WCM that includes a simple, one-reviewer workflow and simple version control. Although MCMS contains desktop-based tools for managing the structure of a Web site, programming and special templates are required before a user can modify content; unlike TeamSite and Contribute, MCMS has no standard user interface, instead it relies on the developer to create a content editing interface using the MCMS library.
eSiteful has developed a suite of proprietary MCMS tools to speed site development and enhance the workflow and versioning capabilities. MCMS sites must be programmed in ASP.NET.

Macromedia Contribute is a low-tier content management tool suitable for small Web sites where automated workflow and robust version control are not as important. It is very simple to use, inexpensive and a mature product. When we are creating a Web site, there is no additional cost to develop templates suitable for use with Contribute.
